Summer school on the Antropocene

What is the impact of fires and aerosols? How can we tell apart natural and manmade forces for climate change? These are of the questions for the PhD students joining the Advanced Climate Dynamics Course.

For the 10th summer in a row, the partnership in climate in Norway and the US sets up an advanced summer school for advanced PhD students. This time in the Yosemite National Park, USA, from September 22nd – October 4th.

The PhD students will join field work, hiking and sleeping outdoors in tents, all with a goal to mix students and lecturers with empirical and dynamical training within climate science.

This year they will focus on understanding the basic principles and dynamics relating to, and defining the climate of the Anthropocene.
